Makemie is a Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) which believes that all are created equally in God's image; the sovereignty of God; the authority of scripture; and that our relationship with Jesus Christ is being formed and reformed each day. We believe that while some folk complain that God put thorns on roses, we praise God for putting roses on thorns. We believe that love is the powerful force in the world. We believe in prayer. We believe in the word rightly preached. We believe that no matter how lost you are, you are never lost to God.  
      

      Our worship hour is 11 a.m. every Sunday and a nursery is provided. Sunday School (adults & children) is at 9:30 a.m. & snack time (coffee, juice, home-baked goodies is at 10:30 a.m. Our choir sings each Sunday, led by Gwen Skeens and  we welcome new voices. Choir meets 7:30 PM on Wednesday evenings.    
 

      The current sanctuary's cornerstone was set on June 29, 1890, the doors are always open and we invite you to visit and sit in the beauty and quiet of this house of God.
